There are three different ways pass through the entire lengh of the Valdarno valley from Arezzo and Florence and vice versa : The Autostrada del Sole A1 , the State highway n.69 which follows the Arno river and the secundary road 'Sette Ponti' already in existence in Roman times, which winds along the lower slopes of Pratomagno mountain overlooking the valley.
If you arrive from the Autostrada del Sole A1 like most of you , below there are the detailed instructions:

A) Take the motorway A1 (Milan-Bologna-Florence-Rome) exit N# 25 - VALDARNO (after Incisa from Florence or after Arezzo from Rome)
B) After toll turn right. Drive 1 km till you find the roundabout . Follow the sign Terranuova Bracciolini.
C) Next roundabout turn first right and procede (1,5 km approx.)
D) Next roundabout turn first right direction San Giustino Arezzo, after 4 km you will find on the right hand side a sign ' La Cicogna' (next to a sign 'Ristorante Pin Rose') turn right
E) After 500 meters, turn left, follow the sign 'Traiana'
F) After another 100 meters turn to the right on the 'white' road for 'Podere Il Doccio', drive on for one more kilometre , until you cross the brick bridge.
G) Welcome to Podere il Doccio

In a big park just few steps outside the farmhouse, along the romantic stream 'Il Doccio', there is the beautiful swimming pool (size 12m*5) with sunbeds and beach-umbrellas, and a Jacuzzi under a wooden gazebo. Here with your family you could enjoy the calm atmosphere of the countryside. The size of the park is ideal for families with children.

If you are fond of pets you would enjoy the presence of our permanent guests: three friendly dogs and several cats that will visit you for receiving a little reward or simply to be stroked. It will be like at home !

The nature's lovers could explore the magnificent countryside by foot. A BBQ in the garden is available for our guests for cooking fantastic meals to enjoy with friends .

Terranova Bracciolini the nearest town (6 km) that provides a good supermarket , a few banks, shops, tennis courts, pharmacies, local police.

It was built by the Florentines in 1347 and mantains his original walls and towers.

But all the Valdarno valley is unique and picturesque: the industrial and commercial development of the last years has been invest big areas and change our lifestyle but the historical and artistique heritage of the landscape is almost the same.
Parish churches, castels and hold medieval towers in villages, that still retain their etruscan names as Gropina, Loro ,Cennina ,are waiting you to make your holiday very special and unforgettable.

The motorway is only 6 km. the railway station 7 km . Terranuova Bracciolini the nearest town provides a good supermarket, banks, post office, tourist information bureau, and tennis courts. This area is within easy reach of the famous cultural centres: Florence 35 km, Arezzo 25 and Siena 39 km.
